Kris Larkey became a staff member at St. Sabina in March of 2006, though her history with the parish dates back to 1974 when she first became a parishioner. After moving away in 1976, Kris returned to the area in 1981 and has remained an active member of the parish ever since. From 2001 to 2006, she volunteered as the Hispanic choir director. In her current role, Kris assists the Parish Staff with human resource needs and coordinates baptisms, weddings, marriage preparation, Quinceañeras, and funerals. She also plays a key role in Hispanic Ministry, Stewardship, the Finance Council, and Pastoral Care, and serves as an annulment advocate. Kris works closely with parish groups to help them plan activities and events, manages sacramental records, and handles space reservations for classes, meetings, and parties. In addition, she coordinates our parish’s efforts in maintaining relationships with the communities of Cinquera and San Isidro in El Salvador, where we sponsor scholarships for university students.
