Maria serves as the RCIA Coordinator at St. Sabina, where she conducts and coordinates the RCIA program and classes. She is the primary contact and resource for all things related to RCIA. In addition to guiding individuals through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, Maria is responsible for developing and implementing activities and classes that support and enrich the faith life of adults in the parish. She actively assesses the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and religious needs of parish adults to help foster their growth in faith.
Maria brings over 8 years of experience in parish ministry, having served as a Pastoral Associate with responsibilities including Music and Liturgy at Nativity of Mary Parish in Independence, MO. She currently teaches theology at Notre Dame de Sion High School, where she is also an alumna. Maria holds a Master of Divinity from Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary. She is excited to lead the RCIA program at St. Sabina and looks forward to journeying in faith with the parish community.
